Background

Dina Bova is a world-renowned avant-garde artist, seeking new ways in conceptual art photography. She was born in Moscow, and immigrated to Israel in 1991 as a child, with her family.
She graduated Boyer high school in Jerusalem, Computer Sciences and Business academic schools from Tel-Aviv University and currently works as an AI (Artificial Intelligence) researcher and developer in a high-tech company.
In photography she is an autodidact. She started from classic photography during her travels around the world in 2007. In her early photographs she tried to “seize the moment” in someone’s life and document different cultures and events in the surrounding world. But, at some point she felt constrained by classic photography and turned her camera from the outside world to the inner world. She started creating her own world of subjective reality with her camera and computer.
Today, her artworks are far from classic photography and remind paintings of Renaissance period and at the same time conceptual neo-surrealism.
She lives in Israel, and together with her family – husband and son, she co-founded BoHouse – house of art and design.

Artist vision

Truthful fiction is the basis of her creative style. Fiction may not reflect the reality as we know it, yet conveys a deep, accurate and true message, as well said: "Fiction reveals truth that reality obscures"...
Dina draws her inspiration from sources such as Renaissance paintings, and allegories. She uses allegories to express her understanding of the world and talk about what's important to her.
